They had just gotten back from the supermarket. Hudson set the bags of groceries down on the counter.
“So you think it’s a good idea if I move in?” Charlotte asked.
He had been dating Charlotte for almost a year now. She was the best thing that had ever happened.
“Absolutely!” He said.
Charlotte had just graduated college; her major was Graphic Design and she had landed a very good job. If she had wanted, she could have afforded her own place, but she really wanted to move in with Hudson. When she first met him, she knew that day would come when they would shack up together. Her parents weren’t happy with the idea but that was another story. She was going to bring her three parakeets and two cats. On the other hand, Hudson’s parents thought it was a great idea, illustrating the double standard.
“Are you sure you’re alright with the animals?” She asked.
“I love cats and birds.”
Hudson had recently competed in a Chef’s contest and had won the grand prize which included a $1,000 Visa gift card. He also landed a job at one of the top, four star restaurants in town. The apartment they were going to share was nice. He still had the gift card and they were planning on buying some new furniture which they needed.
While unpacking the groceries he saw they forgot to buy celery. “I’m not going to be able to make the curried celery and apple soup.”

Totally reminds me of "Seinfeld." The little story about nothing. And yet, it had substance.
A lovely stew pot of potentials, James.
